The funds are earned through donations to the Rotary Foundation.  A portion of these donations comes back to the clubs as designated funds. The funding is unique, in that a portion of donations made in one year will come back to the club. three years later. The amount returned is roughly 50 percent. This enable clubs to perform project in their communities and internationally.
